Guest guest
I know...it's not a pleasant subject. Does anyone know why stools would turn green if the only things being eaten are: chicken, lamb, egg yolks, honey, lemon, ginger root, and garlic/carrots juiced, cod liver oil, Arctic Fish Oil, up to 4 tsp. of kraut juice and that's it. This has been the diet and nothing has changed in the 11 weeks other than now there's this sudden change in the bowels. Still constipated, still unable to digest carbs. I would appreciate any input. Guest guest
Hi, I can't tell you why, but that's been the predominant color here for months. I have actually seen brown a few times, but mostly various shades of green. This has persisted during my flare times and my good months. I'm hoping it's an improvement over the constant orange/gold I had for months before that ;-). Sue
Guest guest
that's almost 3 months - sounds like die off, since green poop is one of the indications of die off anyway. Guest guest
Some foods tend to color the stool, like when I ate carrots several days in a row my stools were orange tinted. I don’t remember having green colored stools…I recall black and clay colored. The 1st time I ate cooked beets I nearly had a heart attack when I saw how ruby red my bm was! Then I remembered, ‘oh, I ate beets last night’. LOL Are you diluting the garlic/carrot juice? If not, that is recommended. Gee, I must be in perpetual die-off then. I've been like this ever since I took Zifaxan for SIBO in April, and soon after starting SCD. But my yeast overgrowth is so bad, I wouldn't be surprised if I do have continual die-off. My current GI who does believe in yeast and SCD etc. thinks all my GI symptoms are a result of acteylaldehyde effects on my gut from the yeast. If I don't take charcoal every day, then I feel like I'm sunburned all through my GI tract. At least the green has changed from a bluish shade to a brownish one. Amazing what constitutes improvement ! Sue
Guest guest
I know my son had it for a very long time... just green, no D, no C, just green. Actually just yesterday I found out it changed to brown. So, I would not worry if there are no other problems. I think that this is the way your body is in cleaning mode. Guest guest
If am abdomen didn't hurt so much I would laugh!! Yes, the juices are put into the broth. And the list of foods are all I'm eating and drinking. Nothing new. > > Some foods tend to color the stool, like when I ate carrots several days in > a row my stools were orange tinted. Guest guest
I don't really know much about it, but my first thought would be an excess of bile, which is green. Maybe something to do with the liver or gall bladder?? Debbie T > > I know...it's not a pleasant subject.
