Guest guest
This doesn't surprise me. We saw Dr. @ Kennedy-Krieger in Baltimore and he doesn't do in-clinic follow ups either. However, he does consult with us by phone/e-mail and is always available to us. The sad fact is, Abbey's other doctor's don't know a lot about this disorder but in our case there isn't anything else we can do to help Abbey so even if we saw Dr. everyday it wouldn't make a difference. We lived in Orlando for 2 years and a ped.nuerologist by the name of Dr. diagnosed Abbey and referred us to a specialist. He is wonderful and I miss having him to consult tremendously! He knows a lot about mito and has several patients with it. If any one lives close I recommend him highly to oversee progress. > 's neurologist told me last week that she spoke with Dr. Cohen > and he has established new guidelines for seeing patients. Any NEW > pt he sees for mito will be for daignoses only. He will not follow > them. He is putting the care back into the PCP lap. I believe that > he will continue to follow up with established patients. I just > wanted to let anyone who is considering going to him as a new pt. > know this. You may want to call and ask his nurse for verification, > but 's doc said he told her directly! > > Dawn
Guest guest
, Please tell me how to reach your great neuro in Orlando. I'd like to keep that info on hand. We live in Boca Raton and I think I've found a neuro I like in Miami, but I'm not completely sure about him yet. Anne R
