Guest guest
Hi Shonda, Doublecheck the protein drinks you've been trying. If they're an isolate, that could be your problem. They are the most readily absorbed, but for some of us, they hit the system TOO fast. I do have a few isolates in my collection, but usually I mix them wth a blend, which buffers the isolate. I think my favorite combination of that type is a cinnamon-vanilla isolate (IDS) and a banana blend (Stack). I add a sprinkle of clove, and it tastes like banana bread. YUM! catchshonda wrote: >I am also having problems with all the >protein shakes! It's not the tastes or the textures that bother me-- >it's the fact that I am getting the dumping after I drink them! Guest guest
Thanks for the info! I checked, and, yes, they ARE isolates. One of them says it's a concentrate and isolate--is that what you mean by a blend? That's actually the one that makes me the most ill! Anyway, what brands do you recommend? IDS? Of course, I just ordered the lemon iced tea one which I believe is an isolate, too! I prefer the chocolate flavors--well, I did before surgery, anyway! Thanks for your reply! Shonda. Guest guest
Well, I'm not sure about the IDS any more, since they have changed their formulas twice since I bought mine. I love the Cinnamon-Vanilla flavor. Anything Nectar is an isolate. The blends are things like the Pure Whey Stack. catchshonda wrote: >Thanks for the info! I checked, and, yes, they ARE isolates.
