Dehydrating meals?

Has anyone tried dehydrating entire SCD meals? Ie: not just fruit leathers or

jerky or nuts, but an entire meal?

I'm hoping to in the future do some easy traveling where I don't have to worry

about meals. I also like to do camping. So my thought was to make a bunch of

dehydrated meals, and then when traveling it's easy to re-hydrate them with some

warm water.

Anyone have any ideas?

Kat,

There is a really good book called ' Bell's Complete Dehydrator Cookbook.'

It goes through all the basics, has recipes, tips, and info for campers. You

will need to watch out for non-SCD ingredients in the recipes, but she does give

loads of good information.

Someone on Gay's SCD list made a whole bunch of dehydrated meals for her son

when he went on a 2 week scouting hike. I'd ask there. I believe her son's name

was .

I'm thinking my lentil chili might lend itself to being dehydrated well.

And I expect that T's vegetable lasagna sauce would, too. (I always

add some meat to, it, but....)
