Guest guest
I have TWO of them, and I love the ease and convenience! I bought one at Target and one on Home Shopping Network, and paid $59.95 each. I understand HSN no longer has them, but I was at Target last night and saw 5 or 6 of them there. You can also buy them at www.buythebullet.com , the Homeland Housewares web site. They have a two-for-one offer for $99.95 plus $39.95 for shipping. So you get them for approximately $70.00 each. Still cheaper than the Target one, but the Target (and Walgreens) ones are the "Magic Bullet Express" and do not come with the big blender pitcher or juicer. If those don't matter to you (and truthfully, I rarely use them) then go for the one at Target or Walgreen's. Walgreen's web site also has one on their site for $59.95 with free shipping. I also need to advise you to be very careful of the ones that are at Amazon.com -- some are genuine Magic Bullets and some are not. Even if the picture shows a *real* bullet, read the fine print. One, for example, is $37ish, but says it is an "Emson Magic Bullet" -- not the real thing! If it isn't a genuine Magic Bullet made by Homeland Housewares, who knows what you are getting. Laurie - if you are getting "foam" on top of your shake, let it sit for a minute or two after you blend it. The foam will usually dissipate. Shell - If you have a burning smell when you use it, there is something wrong with the unit! Return it and get a replacement. Sounds like the motor burned out. You can't run it for more than a minute at a time (per the instructions) but most of the time it just requires 10 seconds (or so) of blending. When you blend ice, it works better if you use the smaller ice cubes, or bagged ice. It *will* grind up the thicker ice cubes, but the smaller ones are easier. You can tell when the ice is blended because the sound will change - it stops being so noisy and settles more into a "hum". I'm reading the group's messages on digest form, so if it takes me a day or two to get back to folks (or if you haven't seen me much lately) that's why. Laurie W.
