Guest guest
Okay, so I'm having bloody D every day now =( Darn flu! Anyways, before they put me on prednisone again (sigh) I was wondering about trying vitamin E enemas or suppositories. I searched the archives and found some stuff, but it wasn't very specific. So Im wondering if anyone with experience with these could email me? My mom says that vitamin e can be toxic in large doses since it's not a water soluble vitamin so she doesn't want to do it, so I'd appreciate input from people who've had success, and also how to go about getting/doing them. (Is it perscription?) Thanks so much!!! Peace =) Alyssa 15 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008 SCD June 2009 (restarted) No meds!
Guest guest
The vitamin e suppositories that people are talking about are Carlson's Vitamin E. They can be ordered on line. There is not a lot of Vit. E in them, so toxicity is not a problem. The enemas are not Vit E, but contain a steroid in them, that gets the steroid right to the spot instead of ingesting them. They are prescription. I have not tried them, but it seems many people here have posted that they help. Hope you feel better. Are you on the computer at school? Guest guest
I don't know anything about the vitamin E enemas, but have you tried Rowasa enemas yet? My son says they work better than anything else and he is having the same problem as you again and wants some more. The steroid enemas caused him more bleeding and made the D come back. (Is it perscription?) Thanks so much!!! Well there's two things - the first is a do it yourself method, that you have to assemble. http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=67345 Apparently he thinks SCD will not work for this procedure?? http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=38&m=1561436 http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=38&m=1094874 The second one is the carlson's vitamin E suppositories which is low dose - just 30 units of vitamin E a suppository but which, if it does nothing else, at least is very soothing. Just google carlson's vitamin E suppository Mara
