Guest guest
Amie wanted me to write and ask you if any of you had any experience with Klonopin. Audrey has been very resstless lately, many seizures and lots of jerkiness. When she goes to sleep she doesn't stay asleep. Even when she is sleeping she is restless. The seizures she is having usually affect only one side at a time. She is so tired most of the time here lately she can barely open her eyes. The doctor said today that he feels that this is just the progression of the disease. If any of you have any tips, they would be very much appreciated. Thanks to all of you, Kathy, grandma to Audrey, 32 mos
Guest guest
I dont' know about Klonipin but Neurontin helped rest much better...it works as a pain and siezure combo and did great for him. We did have to increase dosages several times before he died but it worked great with every increase! deb...mom to three great adopted kids... Guest guest
Deb, Thanks so much for the reply, I will pass it on to Amie to keep the Neurotin in mind. How is Fred doing? Is he back to work yet? Amie and I talk about you all and our visit with last year. Thinking of you, Kathy
Guest guest
Kathy, First of all, sorry to hear Audrey is struggling again. I hope it's not progression but only a bump in the road. The twins are on Klonipin. We started them on it in January for their myoclonic seizures/jerks. It took a while for it to work but once we got up to a decent dose, it did start working. Unfortunately, it is one of those meds that you have to keep increasing as your body builds up a tolerance and you start having break-through seizures again. Unfortunately, we are at that point again and trying to find a right dose to control them once again. As far as making them sleep any better, I don't notice a difference. I do give the girls Melatonin at bedtime to help them rest better and that seems to help.
