Guest guest
Has anyone experienced " that time of the month " after surgery being so much yuckier?!? I get the worst cramps now, lower back pain, and all over achiness. It knocks me on my but for about 2 days each month. It's so odd to me. I didn't think the PMS stuff would get worse. Anyone else experience this now? Tina Dr. Baggs 330/237/160 5/24/
Guest guest
Mine got worse about a four months after surgery. Now it is abnormal again but then the gyn said I am about to go into menopause. Ramona

Guest guest
Waving my hand wildly in the air!! It was explained to me by my gyn that we carry our hormones in our body fat....when you lose it so fast your body basically gets flooded with the hormones thus the worsening. Ok, but Im now two years out and its worse each month!! We are working on getting the right combo of treatment but its a little like experimenting til you get one that works. Guest guest
Hi yes and i am on my cycle now, its heavier. go through more tampons than ever before but it last shorter by a day or so..........i get much more cramping and achiness in the low back and more cramps on the left side, however, i will be 49 in nov, and it could be the age factor. but they say are hormones go through alot with the weight loss............. colleen wrote: -mine has been fine...knock on wood!sarah-- In gastric-bypass-support-kaiser-patients , "Tina"wrote:> Has anyone experienced "that time of the month" after surgery being so > much yuckier?!? Guest guest
Wow this is so strange that this topic has come up. Over the last 18 mounths I have the worse cramping ever. For a year I said nothing thinking it had to do with the DUI i had put in last year. Also my periods have gotton very heavy and irregular. In the last 6 months i am getting it like 3 times in two months. Being 42 (43 in may) I thought maybe I was just going through the begining of the change of life Well just last week I went to my doctor and she basicly told me what just said. She said for me two things are going on, one is because I lost so much weight my body is relesing eggs like crazy lol,, and second being i am 42 by body is saying hey were going to try one last time to dump all your eggs so you can have a baby, kinda like a last hurray. She told me I am not going through the change of life yet. She has put me on some medication to help stop all the bleeding and make me more regular. The cramping I have to live with for now but she has giving me tylenol with codine. That helps alot lol,,, I love how anything I'm going through someone else is in here is going through it to! lol,, not that im happy anyone else is suffering ,,just that you all understand! Guest guest
the Mirena IUD helped my cramping emmensely but the little hormone in it caused my PMS symptoms to worsen...my gyn said Im hormone sensitive...so we just removed it Friday. For now we are letting that get out of my system and then playing with other meds to keep me from killing people....LOL JK. So for the time being I got vicodin for the cramps. Sigh! Being 41 stinks!
