Guest guest
About the last post, in which I mentioned the fact that I wasn't really well informed by the medical group at USC about ALL of the possibilities after surgery. Dr. Crookes is my surgeon. He's absolutely wonderful and so is Dr. Anthone. My point in writing that previous post was to pretty much say out loud to myself and to others that we really don't know what exactly is going to be the outcome for each of us personally, and that was a chance that I personally took and am living with now. I don't know if it would be possible to speak to each of our concerns individually, because what happens with some folks doesn't happen for another, and so on. I really don't know how people manage with this surgery when they are not part of a support group like this. There are a lot of people outside of LA county who can't even attend support group meetings, and are not even aware of this group online. *I* personally feel the representatives at USC, nurses, coordinators, etc, even literature, include some resources for aftercare and support. Anyway... Robin
