Question About Protein Drinks

So I have a question about drinking protein shakes. Do I need to wait

an hour after I drink a protein drink before I drink anything else?

What I've been doing is drinking my drink in the am then starting in

on my water intake. After lunch I have another and the same thing, I

start drinking my fluid right away. I'm wondering if I need to be

waiting an hour.

Just want to make sure I'm getting the benefit of the protein shakes.

I think the rule of thumb is to wait 20-30 minutes...not a full hour.

But Im new at this protein stuff too....Eleanor could probably tell

you more.

If I were to wait at all, it would probably just be a few minutes. The

reason we don't drink right after eating is that the liquid mixes with

the the food and washes it out of the pouch. Since the protein drink

starts as a liquid, that wouldn't be an issue. My thinking anyway. I

don't think I've heard anything " official " though.
