Guest guest
11 days on the diet now and wow, i'm actually starting to notice some improvement. Not that I ever doubted it would work, but I have always been the skeptical " needs proof " kind of guy. Anyway, over the last three days the aches and fatigue have reversed and today I have more energy than i've had in months, the near constant mild headache i've had for ten years is GONE and my BM's are down to twice a day. The " D " is not completely gone yet, but there is no cramping, no urgency and a definate " thickening. " Kind of wierd that I feel so comfortable telling total strangers this sort of info. I'm actually getting used to the diet now. I have very few cravings for illegal food and am having fun going through some of the cook books. My wife has even pseudo joined me. I think I'm making her feel guilty. Made some SCD gingerbread cookies yesterday that were better than I expected. I can tell you right now that if my improvement continues and the " D " goes away I will have absolutely no problem eating like this for the rest of my life. I know there will be ups and downs and i've promised myself I won't get discouraged. Thanks again for all the advice last week.

But remember there will be ups and downs, so you won't get discouraged if you have some set backs soon. Healing on SCD tends to be cyclical rather than linear. It spirals around, in a positive trajectory, through highs and lows. Mara
Guest guest
Congratulations, . It's great to hear that your health is improving. I have a lot of admiration for all our list members who have decided that enough is enough and that they are going to commit to improving their health. I remember those early days for me when I realized that SCD was working. The best part was the relief from cramping and pain, and thank goodness while other symptoms have made the occasional reappearance, I have never had cramping since I started SCD a year ago. I hope you continue to feel better. Keep asking questions and sharing your progress. It encourages others. - > > 11 days on the diet now and wow, i'm actually starting to notice some improvement.
