The vanilla ice cream recipe is fantastic! I never get tired of eating it :-).

Has anyone bought her webzine I Want to Thrive? They seem awful expensive, but

if someone thinks they're worth it, I might bite.

HiFunny you would ask!I just did a day ago. Was up at night for colonoscopy prep--many thanks, Marilyn for your tips-- browsing online. I thought I have received so much scd info on-line, prop bono, including here site, that is, she offers much of her information free. So, decided at least once I would get her magazine. It is well organized and beautiful, recipes are fine. However, it is a christological magazine. That is, I paid to be told that love began with Jesus, etc etc. Being a non-Christian minority, not having intended to buy a magazine with Christian specific writings, it was not what I would have spent money on. Since it was like 3AM, I thought I would wait and send them a note in a few days. I will. If you like some Christian specific pieces included, why not get one issue and see if you like it. I have all of her e-zines except for Nov/Dec. I'll probably purchase that one

too, since it's her last one-- is discontinuing the e-zine after this

issue). I have enjoyed the recipes although now that I am casein-free and

egg-free they are less useful to me. I think the e-zines are worth the money,

esp. if you eat dairy and eggs.

I bought a couple magazines and enjoy them thoroughly! They are beautiful and have a lot of great new ideas! I am a Christian and the few paragraphs on the last page of the magazine were not a problem to me. I think has done a great job with these magazines.

I may have to bite :-). I wish she offered the whole set as a cheaper package

deal though.

Perhaps if we contact her, she will combine them into a package. I noticed on

her website that she considers 's hamburgers-plain- to be safe. I'm afraid

of anything that may have additives. Has anyone verified that there are no

additives in these burgers?

If there isn't a physical letter from 's, I wouldn't trust it.

http://www.fastfoodingredients.com/

can be helpful in checking some of these things. 's claims (in this

site) their burgers are just beef and salt... BUT... what I know, again

from personal experience, is that I am OK with plain burgers from a local

burger joint on a one-off basis. But if I eat there several times a week,

I will start having issues. This suggests to me a cross-contamination

issue, or some " processing aid " which does not have to be

listed as an ingredient, which may not be an issue as a one-off, but

which builds up. I'm pretty sensitive, but that small amount of whatever

could be a disaster for someone trying to get well.
