Guest guest Posted May 21, 2001 Report Share Posted May 21, 2001 NO NO NO!!!! don't panic! you are asleep for the surgery. the epidural is for pain management after the surgery! it helps to keep your middle pain free so you can get out of bed and start walking around sooner. then after a couple of days, they take it out, and start you on pills if you can handle them.
