I ordered 3 bottles of SCD yogurt starter and did not receive the full order.

When I called to ask about the mistake, the owner was a little concerned. He

said that people have been doing this lately- claiming they did not get a full

order so they could get extra without paying.

I was stumped, because I was telling the truth, and I hoped he did not think

otherwise. He did send me the rest of the order.

I'm posting this because while I don't imagine anyone I " know " on this board

doing something like this, I know the board is read by a lot of people.

We need to support our SCD friendly businesses. We depend on them, and they

depend on us. We can't afford for them to lose their business, and times are

tough these days on businesses.

So I wanted to share this so that our SCD friendly businesses will stay afloat.

A lot of little losses can add up.

This vendor should begin by double-checking the packing process of his products

if he's getting multiple complaints. It's possible, if packing is done by

unsupervised employees or a third party, that some of the packages are being

shorted by a " bad apple. " You hate to think about fraud in either

sellers/employees or buyers, but it happens.

Recently, I ordered a hammock online and a string porch swing was sent instead.

Either someone at the third-party warehouse couldn't read or just wasn't paying

attention. The vendor took the loss in the shipping costs for a rather heavy

item.

You're right that we need to support small businesses that offer the niche

products that we can't find in the big box stores. In the end, we all pay for

fraud and loss, when it does happen.
