Guest guest
We just got out of the hospital. has been having diahrea and vomiting for about 4 weeks. we had him in the clinic for iv fluids and iv meds for 6 or 7 hours and ended up in the er two days later. transfered to another hospital and then to another. We ended up in and white for 10 days. His blood pressure was extremely high and the diahrea and vomiting did not stop. He had test after test to no avail. We finally left after vomiting 28 oz. and no oral intake. We are at our " ropes end " They put in a " j " tube along with the g tube and he seemed to be doing fine.(after comming home.) Then after a week has started with the vomiting and diarhea again. We don't know what to do at this point. He has also had some pitting edema. In his eyes, hands, feet, and legs. His stomach is so swollen, and he is visibly uncomfortable. Sometimes I wish he wasn't so cognitively aware. is sick. He wonders if God can come here. I really do not know what to tell him. I am afraid of what he really wants to know. I do say he is all around us, but can he understand that? Sometimes I wonder myself... Guest guest
Debbi, It's very sad when our children are so smart and they have such an understanding as to what's going on. They know God can "fix" things but isn't. Those are questions I struggle to answer. Yesterday morning, Caden had a severe leg episode. He was hurting so bad. As he lay in bed and thrashed from side to side, he was saying, "I wish Jesus would help me." I just comforted him and said, "He will, Caden, he will." Caden is brilliant. He actually has intelligence beyond a typical 5 yr old. I think that's a blessing in itself. He's very lucky, especially with all of the metabolic induced seizure like episodes he suffered before diagnosis. God has spared his brain for a reason. I try not to question things but like you said, "Some times I wonder." Please let us know how is.
