Guest guest
" I am not completely filled in... Why is up for debate, Deb says the doc did a bad job and made a mistake, but this is a known complication, and there is a terrific amount of anatomical variation amongst us humans. There may be other issues, too, but that is all I know for certain " From what I understand, the compliant wasn't merely the occurrence of a complication that can happen to anyone during surgery and how it was handled... but further, the difference with what the patient remembered being told orally as an explanation by the DR, versus what the patient found out later in what the written records actually showed. Its a significant distinction I think is being repeatedly overlooked. It talks not only to the competence of the surgeon but issues of trust and betrayal. What I just said says nothing to the validity of the complaint or the actions of the DR, its just a comment on the way the complaint might be inadvertently recharacterized or oversimplified which can be misleading if admittedly the issues aren't known. My two cents. mary bmi 68 corona, ca pre op 6/27/01 cigna ppo
