Guest guest
, You should be able to get the Ohio medicaid waiver. There is not a financial criteria. Each child is looked upon as their own entity so you and your husbands income does not count against it. How has someone not mentioned this before? When we applied there was a yr. wait. The state cleared the line and there is currently no wait. we were denied at first and then day of our appeal hearing the called and said that we were approved. they have paid for a wheelcahir, hospital bed, meds, nursing for a night, all copays (her Cigna is primary through my ex's work) her carnitor, coq10, folic acid, and formula for her tube feedings. Just called the job and family services and ask for a form to fill out for the community home based waiver. This basically means that is a cheaper to leave the child at home with your care and make changes to your home if needed, then to have them placed in a full time facility. Good luck, Dawn
