You should be able to get the Ohio medicaid waiver. There is not a

financial criteria. Each child is looked upon as their own entity so

you and your husbands income does not count against it. How has

someone not mentioned this before? When we applied there was a yr.

wait. The state cleared the line and there is currently no wait. we

were denied at first and then day of our appeal hearing the called

and said that we were approved. they have paid for a wheelcahir,

hospital bed, meds,nursing for a night, all copays (her Cigna is

primary through my ex's work) her carnitor, coq10, folic acid, and

formula for her tube feedings. Just called the job and family

services and ask for a form to fill out for the community home based

waiver. This basically means that is a cheaper to leave the child at

home with your care and make changes to your home if needed, then to

have them placed in a full time facility.
