Just to fuel the fire...LOL. I was drinking an

occasional protein shake and only seeing a loss on the

scale once every seven or eight days. I upped my

shakes, and now for the past three days, I have seen

daily movement of the scale. I'm psyched!

Barbara-I am keeping my food calories the same. I am

not using shakes as meal replacements, but

supplements. Although, I must admit, I'm not much of

a breakfast eater, so I often have a shake in the am.

Even then I still eat three meals a day, just starting

LATER in the day. I'm thrilled, but it has only been

three days. I will let everyone know if the loss

continues. Every day is an experiment!

Thanks Laurie,

Today is my first day using the protein shakes and I already feel better. I have been really sluggish. I don't know if it's a mental thing of not - but hey - whatever works right - but as of now - I ate breakfast, lunch and did a shake. I am going to do antoher shake before my walk at 2 - but I dont think I am going to be able to eat dinner too - Im pretty full....

What brand of shakes are you using? Maybe I can get my last 14 off

for surgery with them.

It's cheaper if it isn't pre-made, Jeanne. ALso, if you become a GNC member, you get a 10% discount (or maybe it's even higher) for the first 5 days of the months or something like that. So, it may be worthwhile. You can get a humungous tub of it (with a gazillion servings) for $30 I think.

As long as you are willing to mix it up.

I personally recommend powders as opposed to the premixed. For one

thing, they tend to be higher quality protein, as well as being CHEAPER

and easier to transport.

I also recommend getting a bunch of samples. The best place for samples

that I have found is www.vitalady.com . Each sample is $1.99, good for

approximately 30 grams of protein. That way you can try a variety before

spending a bunch of money on a big container. I also use the samples for

travelling. My favorite is chocolate Pure Whey Stack, followed by the

banana Stack. I do NOT like the vanilla or strawberry though. The cocoa

mochachinno is okay.

Thats one of the reasons I do do them..not regularly like most programs

recommend...but at least one a day. I have more energy and Im not

searching for something any thing to eat. You know that feeling where

you want something to eat but dont know what so you keep trying a bite

here a bite there.

thereof of protein shakes. But I will have to say, I went out and

bought a magic bullet last night (great thing - I am loving it so far)

and forced myself into a protein shake for breakfast and I will have to

say I FEEL INCREDIBLE!!! Now I have had some good days since surgery,

but in 4 weeks, I have not had one day that I have felt THIS GOOD!!! I

think I may even put some laundry away before I go to work!!! lol

What kind of protein is the magic bullet? Where did you get it from? Donna"Hokoana, Barbara" wrote:

That is exactly my problem most of the time. And with the magic bullet, it was so creamy and I even added just a dash of cinnamon and it was soooo good. It was such a great start to my day. I am so excited! I think i may even have time to go weigh today!
