Hi ,

I have been thinking about posting a minor correction to my post, and

your comment about the throwing up is going to make me do it - hehehe

I have to say, that you know when you have that feeling of something

rotting in your stomach after you have eaten something bad? That is

what it felt like to me, and so to throw up the blood was really a

relief to me, as I felt like I had a rotting raw steak in my belly

that just needed to get out.

I could have waited for it all to pass, but I am kinda glad that I

threw up when they gave me the meds, just to get that yucky stuff out

of there. So as much as my post may have sounded as though I was not

happy about throwing up, I really was quite relieved.

Thanks for your kind words - this group has been an amazing resource

and a big daily bear hug for me since I started researching this in

late November. =)

Ok, here goes the question queen again.

So, if you can do this whole thing with just the

stomach portion of the surgery and not the switch,

what is the likelihood of gaining the weight back?

And isnt that basically the same thing as simply a

stomach reduction? Is there something else that they

do? I was just curious.

Lorelei,

I am quite fascinated with this new approach to the DS-- dancing the

two-step. I hope you will stay and post about your progress and feelings as

you get closer to the second step. I'm curious to know how the delayed

intestinal step will work-- if it will prolong the " window of opportunity "

etc.

Please keep posting your experiences

in Seattle
