Guest guest
Donna, I double and triple checked with my insurance company CoreSource, regarding my change in doctors and procedure. They said who I went to didn't matter they would still cover it. I called them back to make sure they knew I was not having the same surgery, since I am having a DS, they said no problem. I made sure they had the correct code for the DS and told them it was 43847. They said no problem. The supervisor at CoreSource left this message on my voice mail. I have it saved just in case...but I don't think I will have a problem they have been great to work with. I do understand though that some insurance does not pay for a Duodenal Switch. Are you planning on having Dr. G do a DS or RNY? I am having an open DS. This is a huge difference to what we had been planning. I guess a lot of us are moving on, and since I have a BMI of 60, the DS seemed the way for me go. > > > This doctor will do any WLS a patient will pay > > for-- including the > > dread MGB > > > which uses the medically condemned Billroth II > > connection. Guest guest
Colleen~ I noticed that your surgeon was Dr Buchwald. How long did you have to wait for a consult? They told me yesterday they were putting me on a waiting list and it could be up to 6 months? And thats just for the consult? ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH Jen --- wehrco@... wrote: > Donna > Please visit this link http://fourlane.com/mgb/. > And thank God > everyday that he no longer takes your insurance. > > Colleen - Iowa > DS 1-15-01 > -66# > Dr.Buchwald, U of MN > > > > > > Dear , > > > BCBS of Alabama had already > > approved me for the mini gastric bypass with Dr > > Rutledge in Durham but he no longer takes my > insurance > > so now I am back to square one.
