Hi guys:

Well just got back from Madison and they have determined what kind of

eye surgery Leah will have. Shouldn't be a too long of surgery and her

metabolic doctor decided that they will do another muscle biopsy at the

same time. And she will have new tubes put in too since she is under.

But the reason I'm writing is to say what a neat group of doctors we are

dealing with and no one is taking any chances with Leah's mito and they

are all trying to stay on top of that she will be the first surgery so

she doesn't fast that long and are very cautious about going under and

will red flag the information for the anthesologists. And they

appreciate all the information we are giving them on this situation. I

am going in to this surgery very relaxed and not worried. Is that

possible (?). I gave them the web site of the UMDF and they will check

into Dr. Cohen's piece. But just in case I will be printing out my own

copy and bring it with us to the next appointment. I'm not sure what

the muscle biopsy will be for. I was on the road back to Appleton when

my husband got the call about that they would want to do another one.

So she will have twin scars on each thigh. When I find out what they

are looking for will let you all know. Her surgery will be done on June

10th. So we will check in to the Mc house that Tuesday

evening and I may not get back on line to read emails until that Friday,

June 11th. And then on that Saturday I go and speak to a group of

professionals about how we got the Universal Playground started and what

a difference it has made in not only Leah's life but other children with

disabilities. I'll have to find a scanner to scan a few photos for you

guys. I'm so proud of this playground. Leah could actually bounce on a

small teeter totter bouncer in her own seat because of the straps

holding her in place and I could actually sit in another seat in front

of her to help her bounce. No sitting on moms lap. Yippee!
