Bromelain can be either an anti-inflammatory, or a digestive enzyme,

depending on whether it's taken on an empty stomach or with food. It's

derived from pineapple, so if you have a problem with pineapple, that

could be an issue.

I've been using it for years and have not had a problem with it.

Marilyn,Thanks! I was worried about the mixture so suggested maybe he stop the bromelain until I checked. Funnily enough, he has gotten worse after having been on the prednisone for 2 weeks and off the bromelain. His only symptom is worsening bleeding which is causing an urgency to go similar to D, but not truly D. I think I will tell him about Alyssa's vitamin E experiment.Thanks to all who responded!Amelia
