Guest guest
hello folks - I was wondering how obvious it is for you when a food disagrees with you? Do you find your symptoms worsen immediately? I find that some foods are obviously not digested in my system - meat fibres, nuts, raisins, pulses - they just come straight through the other end. Does this mean that they are harming my gut? Should I avoid them?
Guest guest
I've seen the idea that what you don't digest is not good for your gut, that bacteria can feed on it. If it's coming out looking like you never ate it, that is probably not good. Pureeing foods can help with digestion. Guest guest
> hello folks - I was wondering how obvious it is for you when a food > disagrees with you? Sometimes immediately obvious. Sometimes you have to tease out which one is the problem food. > Do you find your symptoms worsen immediately? Should I avoid them? Yes, until you can digest them. They are probably causing gut fermentation (gas) and triggering other symptoms, possibly increasing populations of pathogenic bacteria/mold/fungi you don't want. Try pureeing more food and eating really well cooked foods. BTW, raisins are really advanced. They can be very hard for a lot of people. So it is best to take them out. If you are having problems digesting meat fibres, maybe it would help to make some meat smoothies - Marilyn posted a number of recipes like that a while back.
