Guest guest
Did you ever wonder if those w/diarrhea think that constipation sounds heavenly and those with constipation would like some diarrhea? Just thinking about that as I am ending day 2 of the intro diet and wishing my diarrhea would go away If the diarrhea doesn't go away after 5 days of the intro diet do I still introduce some cooked fruits and well cooked vegies (one at a time, of course)? I feel like the book is fuzzy on this because it says to not introduce those until D is gone but you're not supposed to stay on the intro for more than 5 days. Maybe I'm jumping the gun and things will be better by day 5 Marla SCD 2 days
Guest guest
Everyone is different with this one. I started SCD December 2005 and never, ever totally got rid of the 'd'. Only recently did I actually get 'c' and had no idea that was the problem. I've redone the intro diet, carefully rounded up a core group of foods and tried to add from there. I also couldn't eat the yogurt except maybe 1/2 of 1/8 of a tsp. I could actually feel it. Now I can eat it (almost) as much as I want dripped or undripped. Some people may show immediate improvement during the intro. I did see a lot of improvement by gaining/maintaining weight the first six months--even the first six days. But for long-term, eating almost what I want but very cautiously--you should go very slow and watch each new food, supplement, etc. That will (in the end) save you time instead of thinking you are well and going completely off the diet or eating too much peanut butter (in my case DCCC) then starting all over with the intro. We are all different though. I was pretty ill when I started. Was taking pred, imuran, pentasa and levaquin as well as a recent hospital stay with blood transfusions. Guest guest
Ohhh, the reason I responded--YES, I was so excited to tell someone I was constipated. How weird is that? Never would have dreamed--never wanted the 'd' but was thrilled to be constipated--that's easily fixable for me. Everyone is different with this one.
