Guest guest
Tue, 11/17/09, hezzie01 heilh1@...I had an ileostomy in April after multiple surgeries to resect Crohn's in the Sigmoid Colon. I had been on the diet years ago after first being diagnosed with Crohn's, so decided it was the best thing to do for myself. The second day of SCD I started presenting with weakness, chest pains, and shortness of breath. Went to the hospital and was put through a battery of tests with no diagnoses. My doctor questions whether the lack of carbs and minimized absorption due to the ileostomy lead to these symptoms (ex. low blood sugar causing my blood pressure to drop). Has anyone had an experience like this? Thanks! Dearest one, I do not know if this information will help you or not. http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/carbohydrate_content_points_to_consider.htm http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipation_continued.htm I can send you the SCD Pals w/Ileostomy w/J-pouch SCDiet Put in subject: SCD.
