Guest guest
I am with all of you. Every time I eat scrambled eggs, and there has been a few, (I am a slow learner) I get that horrible stuck feeling. I thought it was just me. Nice to know that I am not the only one (misery loves company). Sheryl Portland, OR

Guest guest
Tara: Funny, I can eat eggs any way also, but if they are scrambled, I dump like there is no tomorrow. Guess my pouch doesn't like the consistency or whatever. Tried some the other day for the first time in about a year and dumped so badly had to lay down for an hour. Weird. Guest guest
I thought it was cuz we don't chew 'em enough. I avoid scrambled, too, unless I do it myself. I can eat them any other way, also. But scrambled, may as well chew up the sole of my little white tennies. Thanks, Vitalady, Inc. Guest guest
> > This is apparently a WLS issue. I know I can't eat scrambled eggs unless I want pain and a long morning in bed..... I can eat one medium egg. period. doesn't matter how its cooked, over easy and loose, scrambled, hard boiled. but its a quantity thing for me. sue OT: we had a chimney fire last night - I think the firemen made a bigger mess than the fire itself. many of you know I've been trying to sell our house and have repainted, recarpeted the whole place over the last half year with lots of hard work and muscle aches on my part. I just can't even believe this has happened, now.... its like I keep getting signals to stay - don't move - I don't know what to think some days, especially now after only 2hr. sleep and about 26hr. of cleaning, scrubbing and lots of back pain. anyhow, if you'd just send some good vibes, positive energy and thoughts my way I'd really appreciate it. thanks. the realtor is bringing 4 families on monday if we can get rid of the smell by then. Guest guest
I ate scrambled eggs at 2 weeks postop. Love em!! But a piece of beef, chicken or turkey will make me miserable for hours! Guest guest
Goes to show how we are all different! I am Open, Proximal RNY, surgery 5/11/01. Don't have a problem with ANY type of eggs. Dr. recommended scrambled as a first food within one week post-op WLS. Now, if you want to talk milk or donuts (which I never do but sometimes have a craving for a little bit), that's yet another story! LOL No problems with eggs to date - go figure. Guest guest
I love scrambled eggs. I can eat them but it must be very slowly. If I don't chew really well, they come back up. I have found that if I whip them before cooking rather than just mixing with a fork, they stay down better. It makes them lighter and fluffy. I also always put in a piece of cheese. That makes them less dry...and of course, I love melted cheese anyway. Dawn

Now thru trial and error, I've found I simply cannot tolerate scrambled eggs. If they are fried, hard boiled or poached they are fine. Scrambled eggs cause lots of saliva and a quick run to the bathroom. I find this very bizarre! Liz

Guest guest
Okay, thanks everyone! Scrambled eggs have been a staple of my diet for 5 years now. Two strips of bacon in the microwave, then the eggs with shredded cheese. All of a sudden, after reading everyone's account of scrambled eggs, the thought nauseates me. I had the better part of a bagel this morning. Carbs!!!! I guess it's like when you're a little kid and see/hear someone else puke. Then you gotta' do it to. Now what's for breakfast????? in Austin RNY April 1998

Guest guest
scramble up a couple of egg whites with water, toss in tefal 8 " pan on low heat, scatter on some shredded cheese of your choice, break up your bacon and scatter that around... make an omelet that is both yummy, includes all your yummy's and is not scrambled... *Tip, when the bottom of the omelet is done stick it in the oven under the broiler to do the top and you have a great -- NOT over done or torn up omelet... jezzzzz right and no one has to throw up over the whole scrambled eggs thing... guaranteed to stave off the bagel attack ~smile~ hugz, ~denise )รด(
