Guest guest
Robynn: Thank you for sharing. You are almost a dido of me. I am 5'4 though. Wow.... accepted in the program and surgery by May.... I am way behind the 8 ball..... they kind of lost my file and forgot about me for a while.... then I called and things started rolling pretty quickly.... but I am still looking at an October surgery date. I still have another 15 lbs to lose.... I started working on this in January..... jeez So it is true that in some kaiser places they are not required to lose any weight prior to surgery? I kind of got that from other people... but oh well..... my doctor says that the surgery will go better if I lose this weight first. So... ok.... Were you diabetic before surgery? I am, I really have an issue with fluids.... like I drink a lot.... mostly ice T.... some water.... but people say that feeling will go away after surgery.... So many questions.... will ask more later.... New Sue Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page
Guest guest
I had hyperinsulimina, which seems to have abated. Pam Marsh had diabetes, and stopped taking medicine the day before her surgery, and seems to be completely cured! The best way to get through the program quickly is to be a squeaky, eager wheel...begging for the grease. I could have had the surgery as early as April 1st, had I gotten my act together...but I took logner than I expected. You'll get there...just keep on top of it, and don't let them lose your file again!!! Robynn Moniz wrote: Robynn: Thank you for sharing. You are almost a dido of me. I am 5'4 though. Guest guest
Sue, I had diabetes, 500 mg of metformin 2 xs a day. I didn't take a single pill since the day before surgery. I had high blood pressure as well and that went away as well. While in the hospital they gave me these patches that had stuff on them for blood pressure. They also gave me insulin shots, though I had never had one of those before. Now 2 months post op my blood pressure is 90/60 and my blood sugar is 98! Woo-hoo! My pcp said congrads I am prefectly healthy, there was nothing else for him to do for me. :-) Best of luck to you on your journey! You came to the right place for support and encouragement. These are great people here! Kay 336 orientation 5/6/04 290 surgery 6/28/05 246- 8/25/05 Woo- hoo 90 lbs GONE forever! > Robynn: > > Thank you for sharing. You are almost a dido of me. Guest guest
That is what I am hoping as well, seems like everytime I go to see my PCP I have a new condition that requires more medication. I would love to be pill free!!! Jeanne > > Robynn: > > > > Thank you for sharing. You are almost a dido of me. I am 5'4 > though. Wow.... accepted in the program and surgery by May....
