X-post - Obesity just a matter of calories?

A couple of weeks ago while out at lunch with hubby, the restaurant we

were eating at was on ESPN, and they had professional eating contests

on. I know, the whole concept is pretty disgusting! Anyway, the winners

were both skinny short folks (both Oriental). The server at the

restaurant had seen a bunch of these contests, and the winners (male and

female divisions) apparently win a lot of these contests. Now, if it's

just a matter of calories, then why are these folks so small? I think

the gal was less than five feet tall, and looked like she was maybe 90

pounds soaking wet!

Hm, maybe there's some other factor going on?
