Guest guest
deb wrote to me with regards to nancy's remark about her going off her anti-depressants. she said i could post her note here, so here it is: erika, someone sent me the post of nancy's and also your response. I just wanted to clarify something. is not blurting out confidences, she is outright lying. I have been on anti depressants twice in my life. Once for 4 or 5 weeks in 1993 and then again in the winter/spring of 2000, for 7.5 weeks, following the death of my mother after a protracted terminal illness. The only drugs i had to go off before surgery were anti- inflammatories, that i take for injuries i am still recovering from following a motorcycle accident in june of 2000, and i resumed then again in the hospital after surgery. I do not know why nancy has taken this on as a personal campaign. Her mean spirit is unbelievable. I feel sorry for her and it does hurt that she feels the need to write such things about me. I have nothing against anti depressants and many benefit from them, i would hate anyone to feel further stigmatized by her post concerning anti depressants. I have been worked in psych for 10 years now and I have seen the benefits of these drugs in improving lives. My internist nor the therapist that i used for my pre op eval. and also contacted post op have not suggested anti depressants for me, or anti psychotics or any other drugs. I do so hate to drool--------LOL deb ps, feel free to post this at DS if you are so inclined. I really don't want any people that are currently on meds for any reason to feel stigmatized or feel bad about taking medication.
