Guest guest
You know, I'm being worked up for kidney disease. I saw a nephrologist last week & she asked about any kidney disease in my family. I told her just my dad, in the last few weeks before he died. Then this past weekend my brother called from Houston & told me that he's got kidney disease & is going to have a renal biopsy! I guess it's just a coincidence, but I'm going to let the nephrologist know anyway. Anybody else have a family history of kidney disease? Ramblin' Rose Moderator Windows Live Spaces is here! Guest guest
Dear Rose, I'll be praying for you and your brother. Yes, I surely do have a bad history in my family. My father died of kidney cancer 7 years ago. His brother died of kidney failure when he was just 13 years old. My Mom was born with only one functioning kidney. So, my docs are concerned about me getting sarc in the old kidneys or at least having the kidneys have problems along the journey. My oldest son, he's 14 now, has blood in his urine all the time. He had to go through many tests when he was 5 before they realized it was normal for him. It was very scary until this was confirmed though! Now back to you, as I said, I will pray for you and your brother's healing. Please keep us posted! Lots of healing hugs, Diane in TX kidneys You know, I'm being worked up for kidney disease. Guest guest
Rose, My dad and brother have had kidney stones, & when I was a little baby I had polynephritis. I would hemmorhage like crazy, the doctors told my parents I would not live to go to school. God fooled them & they didn't know what a prayer warrior my mom is. They treated it for years and did some surgery (I had a benign growth). I had problems until I was 16 and since then I've been good except for an occasional kidney infection. My right kidney is scarred, but works good. So far the sarc has left them alone. Guest guest
Rose, I am undergoing a bunch of tests again, and one of them was for my kidneys. Thye really didn't find anything with them but found hemangeomas on my spine? Whatever that is supposed to mean. B-t-w, did you get my book in the mail? I hope that it helped. Guest guest
Lynne, yes, I got the book & the card. I posted a message about it; probably should have sent it to your email address. So thank you again for your thoughtfulness! A hemangioma is a cluster of blood vessels; not sure what it means on the spine. What did your doctor say? What are those kids up to now? Still competing?
