Guest guest
I am so shocked and saddened that this group has come to this. Have we all forgotten that Deb/Ciar is a PERSON? One who is SUFFERING GREATLY? Whatever the cause, whatever the reason - but for the grace of G-d, it could be any one of us. In the volumes of posts that have come through in the last few days, both pro and con, has any one bothered to inquire as to how Deb is getting on lately? Stop and ask yourselves - " Am I helping Deb OR this group in any way by what I am doing? " Of course we all want a forum where we can be truthful - warts and all. I don't think anyone is looking for a sugar coating (that's what got half of us here to begin with ; 0> ). However, there are always going to be disagreements amongst people. We all bring many different traits, backgrounds, experiences, and outlooks to the table - so much the better! The true test is how we, as a group, will deal with this friction. Why do we join this list? I thought that we were all here for the greater good - helping each other get through to the other side with as much support, knowledge, humor, and COMPASSION as we can summons for each other. People in pain will lash out - and sometimes we just need to let them because we want what's best for each other. Sometimes, that is what's best. If you don't like reading certain points of view perhaps you might do what I tell the kids in my first grade class to do all the time: ignore it because you cannot change the other person - but they will get bored and tired and then they'll stop! In other words, if you don't like a thread, don't respond to it. If it does not elicit much response, the thread will eventually fizzle out. The only reason that I'm not following my own advice here is that I thought that this post might serve as a compromise of sorts. A white flag, if you will...Believe me, if there are no takers and this whole thing backfires on me I will certainly heed my own words (I might have to eat 'em too) I'm just trying to find a way around this roadblock. Let's get back to helping each other...I know we can do it... from Philly BMI 63, age 39 Open DS w/ Dr. Pomp, 9am on Wed., June 20, 2001 Aetna USHC, HMO - Doc thinks they will pay!
