Guest guest
I believe I approached this question earlier, but I need to ask it again. We need to eat slowly. Ok. We need to eat small pieces of hard food (meat, etc.). Ok. But I seem to have a lot of problems with swallowing anything other than VERYYYYYYY soft food. If I swallow a very small piece of meat and wait about 5-10 minutes, I'm ok, but if I attempt to eat any quicker, I suffer from Dysphagia (i.e., food sticking in my esophagus). I know that the stoma is small, but the food I'm eating hasn't even gotten to the pouch (stomach) yet. Questions: 1. Is this common among all of us? 2. Surely, this will not be a lifelong problem - will it? 3. Since the doctor did not touch the upper stomach - why has this suddenly presented itself? Thanks.
