Guest guest
Sorry for not responding lately. I have been here, just a lot of things going on here. My mother-in-law passed last month then a week later my father had a mfassive stroke. I am still having trouble with my step-daughter, and have still been denied to see the baby. Been a real roller coaster. I did however see a pain specialist. It was nice finally having someone believe me that I was in pain. He did a scan and an mri. Found some bulging disks, hemangeomas on my spine, and some cysts on my kidneys. But he did say that the chest wall pain was due to " intercostal " something or other. I have tried to find it on the net, but I figured that you could explain it better. I did get a shot, it was a block, and I actually told him that it was working. Well, I don't know if it was because I really wanted it to work or what, but a few hours later, the pain just came right back. Was wondering what you think of all this , and if you had any idea of what to do now. Also, I was wondering how Sam was doing? I know that you have been through a lot with her too. Thanks for you ears, Lynne
Guest guest
Hi, Lynne. My condolences for the loss of your mother-in-law. How is your father doing? Sam is back in the Girls School; has a hearing 8/31. If they release her, she won't be coming back to live with me. My ex & his wife are willing to give her a shot. I think they will probably keep there for awhile; her p.o. is recommending 6-9 months. I wonder if you had intercostal neuralgia? It's inflammation of nerves that run along the ribcage. I don't know about the block, but I think you should call the doctor & tell him the pain is back. He may have given a small dose of medication as a trial. Why are kids so self-centered? I know how painful it must be to not see your grandbaby; I've been there. Hopefully, she will come to her senses soon. Guest guest
Rose, Sorry to hear about Sam, I knoe that you have done a lot to help her. My father is recovering, but his vision on the right side of both eyes is gone. I am not sure about , she has her biological mother back into her life, she ony has 2 days off a week, and then she has a beer in one hand and the baby in her other. I have stopped blaming myself over this. When she put the announcement in the paper, she didn't eve mention her father at all, so we are dead to her and that is the way that I need to look at it. I was very hopful about that injection, and I actually told the Dr. thta I thought it was working, but about 5 hours later, the pain was back in the same place. I think that is what he said the pain was too, he said that it was a result of my thoracic surgery. So now I am not sure what to do now. I can't get any pain meds from him at all, he isn't back until mon. So we will see. LynneRose wrote: Hi, Lynne. My condolences for the loss of your mother-in-law. How is your father doing?
