Dermatitis herpetiformis and also scalp rash question

The "celiac rash" is dermatitis herpetiformis. (not caused by a yeast)

Speaking of rashes, has anyone found an effective over the counter product for treating

Psoriasis of the scalp? I was prescribed a shampoo that is anti-fungal but while it is currently effective, it has side effects that concern me---aside from side effects, it changes the color and the texture of the hair.

Head and Shoulders and Selsun Blue are not effective--as my dermatologist cautioned.

I was told Psoriasis is very similar to Seborrheic Dermatitis and often difficult to distinguish..

I have lost patches of hair and it has not grown back so I keep returning to the shampoo the doctor prescribed. Wonder if it's not necessary to change off from time to time before it becomes ineffective.
