That's my insurance! Have they paid for anybody else? The AMOS website has no info for NJ, which is why I'm asking.
Guest guest
I have Aetna HMO (federal) and have been denied the BPD/DS surgery. I am in the process of appealing their decision. My surgion has stopped doing the RNY because he believe so stronly in the BPD. I'm not feeling very confident about getting approved through Aetna, but I'm going to give them a good fight. Sorry this isn't more promising, but there are many on here who have fought Aetna and won. However, I've yet to find anyone with the HMO plan specifically who has had this surgery and been approved. > Reciting her vital statistics, from Philly noted the following: > > >Open DS w/ Dr. Pomp 6-20-01 > >Aetna USHC HMO (doc thinks they will pay!) > > > > > > This is the best thing I've read here so far.
