Guest guest
Diane, I'm sorry you are struggling so much. I actually worked at St. for 6 years, back in the 1970's. I worked in labor & delivery; didn't know any of the other docs. Keep going; I'm thankful you hve a supportive husband. I apologize. It's a long story, but since I came home from the hospital three weeks ago I've been battling the sarc monster and with the University Hospital where my Rheumy is to get me back on some kind of Methotrexate (preferably injection) and also let me know what's going on with insurance for Remicade. To make a long story short, I was ready to call and fire them when I got a phone call saying they were calling in the meth by injection. FINALLY. My hubby gave me my first shot yesterday morning and so far I've not had any of the side affects that I had from the pills. I had horrible diarrhea within 10 minutes of taking the pills which lasted for 4 to 5 days. I've had none so far. I had mouth sores and other stuff also. Over 24 hours later and NO diarrhea! Yea! My regular doc is not happy with how they are treating me at UTSouthwestern Hospital. I am going to see if I can get into a group of so-called elite Rheumies at St. hospital in Dallas. My doc wants someone to take me under their wing, because she says I am too seriously ill not to have a doc monitoring me at all times. The university only has clinics on Wednesdays and never returns calls! I've been extremely tired trying to get an Avon business off the ground this week also. I'm totally not a sales person so this is just something I'm trying since I can't really do my babysitting anymore but once a week. Wish me luck because financially we are doing horribly. This sarc monster has not only ruined me physically, but also financially. O.k., so I'm whining now. ha-ha. I have pictures of my boys and hubby I'd love to put with the others, but can't figure out how to get them off my computer yet. Someday I'll figure it out. I love seeing everyone's pictures. I hope everyone is doing o.k. as I just don't have time to read all my email! If I've miss anything serious in the last couple weeks please send me an email personally. I don't want to miss if anyone needed prayers or anything important happened. Guest guest
Hi Diane, When I had to leave the working force due to the Sarc monster I started a Kay business, that was almost 3 years ago, and I am still doing it, it’s always nice to have the extra income, and I still get to me new people! Good luck, I’ll be praying for success! Guest guest
Marla, I just came back from a Kay meeting. My niece is a consultant (almost a year) & she had 6 guests counting my mom, her mom, her sister, my cousin & me (plus a friend). I had some kind of reaction to the Satin skin cream that feels gritty; got itchy red bumps on my left hand & just a couple on my right. It's weird, because I rarely react to anything. The itching stopped after a few minutes, but I still have the bumps (over 2 hrs. later). One of the ladies there said she had a customer who did the same thing, only she had rubbed the cream up on her arms, so her arms & her hands reacted. No one else had any problems. I guess I'll just avoid that product. Have you ever seen that? This is part of a 3-step cleansing--you put some greasy stuffy on, then the gritty stuff, which you wash off, then put on some regular lotion. Anyway, the meeting was fun. I ordered some tinted moisturizer, eyeshadow, mascara & blush. I rarely wear makeup, but I'm going to try to get in the habit more often. Part of the problem is this heat intolerance & "hyperhidrosis" (excessive perspiration). I just end up wiping off any makeup, or ruining it when I stick my head under the kitchen faucet. But cooler weather is ahead, so I'll give it a go. I didn't mean to go on so long! Guest guest
HI Rose, was the satin hands the Peachy scrub? Maybe you reacted to the peach scent they put in it, I have not ever had anyone react to the satin hands, but the peach scent is new, and I love the new satin hands. I have a problem with a few of the MK items so don’t use them. I do love their skin care though; I have supper sensitive dry skin and have found a combination that works for me. I love there Make up but can’t wear any color with red dye in it. The neat part about selling it is I can try out all the samples before buying anything. And it saves me big time. I’m glad you had fun, we have a great group of women at our unit meetings, my director’s unit made ½ a million in retail this past year, yes she drives a Pink Cadillac, someday I will tooJ Marla From: Neurosarcoidosis [mailto:Neurosarcoidosis ] On Behalf Of Rose Sent: Thursday, August 24, 2006 7:16 PM To: Neurosarcoidosis Subject: RE: Hi Everyone - Can't keep up Marla, I just came back from a Kay meeting.
