Guest guest
Thank you Amelia, and Stacey for your responses and suggestions. I began therapy with a foam called Luxiq. This was to calm down the inflamed scalp. It is a steroid and the doctor suggested stopping it as soon as the skin looked normal color. Perhaps plain Tea Tree Oil might be helpful if the shampoos are perfumed. I will try that also. I will also look up info on UVB combs to see how they work and the various coal tar shampoos.......thinking the coal tars might be just as damaging to the hair itself but worth a try to change off shampoos intermittently. Both doctors I saw told me this is a "forever" diagnosis and will require treatment always to keep the plaques under control. Thank you again, Gen
