Hi Jerrie,

One thing our attorney recommended (Texas) was a medical power of attorney

for me. This way if Jeff was unable to communicate, or his parents decide

to fight his wishes, I am authorized to carry them out. It's a terrible

burden to have, but he was afraid his mom would want to keep him alive at

all costs, and he does not want that in the end.

Regards,

M.

If admitted to the hospital the medical power of attorney and living

will are asked for and copied by the hospital office staff.

That is the hard part when you have to really admit these things are

happening. And there is no way out.

Keep your chin up.
