About Alice From Long Island

Hi,

i spoke to Alice on the phone a few minutes ago and she sounded so wonderful it is hard to believe she had surgery yesterday..she said all went well and the surgery took only 2.5 hrs but didnt start until 3 pm.....she was on a stretcher waiting to go for a long time. She didnt even have a Leak Test for some reason she said it is cause Dr Gagner is a genius and she didnt need on..seems he is doing this surgery faster and faster,,Dr. Roth was her anesthesiologist(i reccommend him to anyone having surgery with Gagner,,,email him he will get back to you,,he is very calming and lovely)....Roy, Alices husband is with her..She said the only pain she has is when she tries to walk and she feels thirsty..i will be checking up on her daily and reporting back to the group...

Wow, that's great!! I'm glad she's doing so well ? Are they going to

release her without doing a leak test at all ? I know Gagner's great

*grins*, but still!

They may have done her leak test while she was still under the

anesthesia. That's what they did with me. I wouldn't have known it

until I requested my operative report and read that they did the leak

test then.

That would be the coolest!! I would only be concerned if they don't

do one at all..if they did it while she's under, that's great, she

just needs to make sure I think!

YEAH! Wonderful news. I met with Dr. G. on Wednesday and I promised

Alice before I went that I wouldn't squeeze his hand too hard in my

excitement, so that he'd be in good shape for her on Thursday. (I did

kiss his hand though and tell him it was for good luck!) (GRIN) He said

he's getting faster and faster the more he does the procedure and Alice's

surgery was right on mark. I'm so happy for her and for those of us who

will follow in her footsteps. Please give her my regards when you talk to

her. I'm looking forward to hearing all about her surgery when she's back

home and posting.
