Guest guest
Thanks- I really am a very happy person with a wonderful life. I have no stress at this time(THank God) but I will speak to my Dr. about what you said. I know this is probably a phase but I don't want it to continue.Ellen(Pam
Guest guest
Hi Ellen(Pam, Boy, I certainly do understand this one. This has always been a problem for me. It is one of the things I know I will have to work on after I become a post-op. Part of me was hoping that this " craving " would not come back after surgery. Guess you are 'case-in- point' that it can happen. So, for whatever it is worth, I have been taking Prozac and have found it to help with the out-of-control-obsession aspect to some extent. I do still think about food but act on the thoughts less with the Prozac. An added benefit is that while I was not an overly depressed person before Prozac, I do not seem to get the really low lows as often as before. Some have said that Wellbutrin has good effect on eating urges too. I hope, for you, this is a stage that passes. I will be watching with interest what other post-ops have to say on this subject. Let us know if you find anything that works for you. Best Wishes!
