Guest guest
You're right, we keep hearing how over 50 or 60 percent of americans are obese, yet......NO STORES to serve them, or at least very FEW! There is only one in the major city of Richmond, that not only carries up to size 28 but also above and that is 's and they can be very expensive, which stinks. I try to go to their clearance racks but if you pay full price you will defininitely be paying $100 for a decent outfit. Guest guest
e, I can surely sympathize! Many's the time when I wished I had the capital and contacts to open my own store! You're right, we keep hearing how over 50 or 60 percent of americans are obese, yet......NO STORES to serve them, or at least very FEW! It's one of the things I think may get me in trouble after I've had this surgery. The day I can go into any store and buy clothes WATCH OUT!! My wallet and then my credit card will be SMOKIN'!! I intend to make up for lost time. Imelda Marcos may have had shoes, but I will have every outfit known to man. So be fore warned, if you go anywhere near a dressing room and the clothes are flying....it's just me having a clothing fest! Sigh, dream, fanti-size, Angel --- e brumbees@...> wrote: > *sigh* I'm sooo tired of looking and driving MILES > in search of a > good fat girl clothing store. Guest guest
yep, there's a 's near me too. You have to go on a regular basis and catch their sales to get anything at a reasonable price. I understand it takes more fabric for my clothes, but $100 worth?! I don't think so! I'm not a top notch seamstress, but I do a little sewing for myself (only way I don't go naked) and even buying nice fabric, I only spend maybe 35 to 40 dollars for an outfit! I can't get the wholesale prices the stores get for the fabric either. I most imagine, after surgery, I'll pay whatever for an outfit if I fit into it though hehehehe. My poor husband will be broke (not that he isn't now)! Good luck hunting for just the right store, good prices and nice larger size clothing, Angel --- kathysyear2001@... wrote: > In a message dated 5/25/2001 6:08:48 PM Eastern > Daylight Time, > angelquilt1@... writes: > > > > You're right, we keep hearing how over 50 or 60 > > percent of americans are obese, yet......NO STORES > to > > > > There is only one in the major city of Richmond, > that not only carries up to > size 28 but also above and that is 's and > they can be very > expensive, which stinks. Guest guest
! Men just don't understand the mental aspects of what a bargain means! LOL) No they don't have a clue. LOL Glad you got some bargains. Kathy B Dr. Elariny
Guest guest
gotta love those sales at 's. I have 3 within an hour of my house. Last month I made the rounds. Got the dress for $10 at 1 store, found the matching jacket for $10 at the other. I think this is the first time I've gotten something that cheap since my prime Phen Fen days! (Of course, when I got home my dh ever so gently reminded me about the price of gas to run our van from PA to NJ to go shopping! Men just don't understand the mental aspects of what a bargain means! Guest guest
Have to reply to this one: Go to the Coldwater Creek website. They have beautiful clothes - maybe a little pricey - but, hey we're worth it. I do a lot of my clothes shopping on there. They are NOT 'fat girl' clothes at all. They have most of the same styles in sizes Petite to 3X and at the same price no matter what size. Service is great, and if you have to return something, it's very easy, NO hassle at all. Also, Chadwicks and Silhouettes have some very nice things. Take a look. Alice in Delmar, New York Pre-op hopeful with Dr. Gagner at Mt. Guest guest
You are so right! Hey wasn't it a guy who said he'd walk a mile for a camel? Well we're smarter, we'll drive, and can therefore go SEVERAL miles for what we want! lol Angel --- nsyncmom2001@...> wrote: > gotta love those sales at 's. I have 3 > within an hour of my > house.
