Co Q10 is not a prescription, but there are a handfull of insurances that will cover it. The most recomended brand is Tishcon. Yes they do have a liquid and you can get it at www.epic4health.com. If you call them to place the order tell them your child has mitochondrial disease, they will give you a discount. The number is 1 . We pay $51.00 including shipping. The bottle usually lasts about two months. They have also just released a chewable form, if that may be easier. (The chewable is less expensive too.)

If you need any more info, just ask.

This seems like a silly question for this group, but where do you get

the CoQ10? Sheldon's doctor has suggested that we try it. Is it

available by prescription? If not, where do you get it? Is it

available as a liquid?

We're seeing neuro next week, Sheldon's been having headaches,

falling a lot, and now his eyes are turning in (crossing) and rolling

back and they've never done that before, it worries me.

Stacey,

We too get our through epic (Tishcon brand). I don't know where

you live or if your child is on medicaid (or your state waiver

program). If so I would try to get it covered through them. Our

originally denied coverage and we appealed and won (Ohio). Now

everyone in Ohio on medicaid gets it covered-I thinkother atates

have followed too!

It can get expensive if they are responsive and the dose

is increased- is on 120mg four times a day (thats about 3

bottles a month-$150.00)Yikes!

Good luck,

Dawn
