Guest guest
Guys, I need to information. For the 4th day in a row now I have had a headache in the afternoon & early evening that absolutely makes me nauseous & my ears are ringing like crazy. Last night my face and upper arms & shoulders started tingling. I have never been one to have headaches, in fact I have extreme sympathy for people who have headaches on a regular basis because of what I have seen them go through. I have changed my glasses, I have taken tylenol, I'm been on a higher dose of prednisone for 2 wks because of breathing. I'm starting a new job a week from today, & no I'm not stressed out about that; I'm tickled to death about it. Thanks for any advice or help you can give/////////Connie Get your own web address for just $1.99/1st yr. We'll help. Yahoo! Small Business. Connie, This could be blood sugar spikes- or high blood pressure. It almost sounds like blood pressure. If you have a cuff at home, check your bp as the afternoon goes on. also if you have a glucometer- check your blood sugar before lunch, and then after you eat (2 hrs is good) and see if you're getting some spikes there. This is a good place to start- and may clue you in to whats happening. With the increase in pred- either one of these can create a major headache. So also will holding your breath, so as the headache starts- take a few minutes to do some deep breathing- exhalations should be 2x longer than inhalation. It may be that after lunch, the stomach is putting pressure on your diaphragm- and this is then pushing up on your lungs- so you're getting more "air trapping." This would not only cause the headache, but would explain the tingling sensations also. HOpe it helps, Tracie NS co-owner/moderator
Guest guest
Hey,, if your getting those kind of headaches , and i know them all to well.. please get ahold of your dr.. and don't just let it go on and on.. without getting stronger than Tylenol for it. If you need to , go to the ER for an injection for the pain. That happened to be my number one complaint from the start was severe head pain. and still to this day .. i would say 4/7 days i still have pain in my head. just my opinion... Get to your doc's.. lots of love , hugs, blessings and a pain free day
Guest guest
Tracie, I'm sorry, this is what I don't understand. My blood pressure is fine and so is my blood sugar, at least in the am. But the headache seems to peak hours after I have eaten. Me & neuro man are going to have to have some "intense fellowship" over this, it's the pits////Thanks so much, Connietiodaat@... wrote: In a message dated 9/1/06 4:00:18 PM Pacific Daylight Time, conaugusta (AT) yahoo (DOT) com writes: I need to information. Guest guest
Connie, When you get the answer, let us know what they figure out--that way when this one comes up again-- we'll have another clue to the puzzle. Have you checked your sugars at the time the headache peaks? our bodies naturally spike high or low about 2-3 hrs after a meal. (Depends on what we ate, and how well the pancreas is processing the insulin). Another one to ponder. . BTW- the Weil MD stuff I told you about avail at Costco is called MINDBODY TOOL KIT. iT HAS cds on visualization, guided imagery, meditaiton and breath work. Way cool! Take care, and drink some extra water. Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator
Guest guest
Thank you Tracie for all the help. I am trying to stay on top of everything myself as much as possible, because of starting the new job. I've got to try and hold my health in check, but I have also got to keep my new job. I've already moved some of my appts out, grief I have doctors appts every month, but I can't do that starting out. I am going to ask to go to my pulmonlogy appt, hopefully since it was set before I got the job they won't have a problem. I'm just going to tell the supervisor I had a doctors appt prior to hire, but if she has as problem with it I will have to delay it too. I'll just have to try and talk to the pulmonologist by phone about the pred. She's really nice so maybe. It'll all work out and I am feeling better today so it's all good, thank God. I appreciate all the help...Connie --- tiodaat@... wrote: > Connie, > > When you get the answer, let us know what they > figure out--that way when this > one comes up again-- we'll have another clue to the > puzzle. > > Have you checked your sugars at the time the > headache peaks? our bodies > naturally spike high or low about 2-3 hrs after a > meal.
