Guest guest
, Gaby has had a gastrostomy for 7 years now. In the past when granulation tissue was a problem , I found that with her case, it was often a mild infection in the stoma site that was causing granulation development. By using topical antibiotic cream directly to the gastrostomy site, and some betadine solution for a week..the 'infection cleared' and the granulation tisuue settled. Gaby's site is perfect these days (and I don't do anything to it all), but when ever she has a tube change, there must be minor skin tears in the stoma track, which then get a germ..and we now know to treat immeadiately as I explained to avoid the granulation I know this is not always the case..but it may be with considering ne, mum to Gaby almost 9 years with PDH
