Gas too high Ride a bike

Well, I've done it! I rode my bike to work. Something I would never have done 156 pounds ago.

By car it's about 4.5 miles, but by bike it's only about 2.8 miles. I live right next to the Iron Horse Trail that runs from Dublin (where I live) to Concord or beyond. It is a straight line from my house to the high school I work at in San Ramon. Mornings are fine because the air is cool, but afternoons are a bit more brutal because it is so hot out here in the valley. But I feel real good about myself and about riding and saving gas that is a big plus. So, all of you ambitious people out there get on your bikes and pedal to work. It's fun!!!

If I didn't live 40 miles from my work, I would ride my bike as well.

The feeling of riding is so addictive. I have been staring at my bike

in the garage for a couple of years now. I have finally lost enough

weight to feel balanced on it again. So yeah I know the feeling!

I have been on weekend rides of 1 1/2 to 2 hours at a time and it is

GREAT!

Keep up the good work!

This is the best thing to do!

Save gas and your heart at the same time! Woo-hoo!
