Guest guest
Before you put him on the diet was he a good eater? I would be cranky too if all I had was soy milk for 3 days I bought the Enviro kids cereal with the gorilla on them and they are very good. Does your son like rice? I had to get rid of all possible offenders and my entire household is going GFCF. I cannot trust anyone to be careful. A few cheerios can screw the whole thing up. Try the Ore Ida microwave hashbrowns. Do you need help finding something that he will eat? Trisha
Guest guest
my son gets the bright red cheeks, aggression and crankiness even if he puts a cheerio in his mouth and we get it out before he swallows it. that little amount sets him off for at least a day. also, spices that have gluten free flowing agents really affect him. when we first started the diet he kept having bad days as well. it has only been after three months and treating his leaky gut have we been able to keep him what i call clear for a week. but we still have our bad days at least once a week. i think it is simply a matter of perfecting his diet. the only enzymes that help with his reactions is the protezyme by kirkmans. they told me it was impossible to give him too much, so when he has a reaction i give him two capsules and it seems to calm him down pretty quickly. karen tx Food reactions My son is new to GFCF for 4 days or so now. Today he really had a bad day. Just asking for some wise words of wisdom. He had bad diarrhea and was really cranky. All he has had is his soy milk which he has had for 3 days now, last night had rice pasta with tomato sauce (Im thinking he is sensitive to tomato sauce) and some other items which i know he is ok with. His cheeks also have been red today. (nothing new but he has been ok for awhile.) HIs sister was eating cheerios and dropping them around. I dont know if he snagged one or not. But can that really be that bad if they snag a few cheerios? I cant narrow it down. But probably should cut tomato sauce and see what happens. Any experienced words? Guest guest
This might seem a rather obvious question, but when you are trying to work out if a food is not agreeing with you, is bloating after eating it a sign of that? If bloating is a consequence of pathogenic bacteria fermenting carbs in your gut, presumably you should avoid anything that causes it? ( I think I might have answered my own question!) Thanks!
