Guest guest
I had it for 7 months a few years ago and it involves a slop IV drip that can last 1-2 hours. Mine was for peripheral neuropathy, but it was not helpful since the IViG knocks out inflammation, which was not the cause of my neuopathy. As for increasing the gamma globulin in your child's system, I assume the doctors think it can exactly that . It's a very expensive treatment - for an adult like me, 60 grams, it cost over $4,000 each individual visit, which medicare paid (I'm 67) but my private insurance balked at. My assumption that you're on Mediaid so they will also pay. Best of luck. Ray Volpe, NYC
