Hello all. I have a question about the twins having seizures while

swimming. It's the craziest thing. I set up their little pools and

let the water warm up to a warm temp. Within minutes of putting

them in the pool, they started having seizures. We have also had

this happen when staying at a hotel and taking them swimming in an

indoor pool. What would cause this? Their seizures are really

small consisting of just head nods and rapid eye movements. Their

pupils also get really small. I immediately took them inside and

they are fine. This really stinks as what kid doesn't like to swim

but, I can't let them if they continue to do this. Any ideas?

Pools, even though warm, they still are

cool in comparison of what we would use for bathwater. Open air pools add the

breeze, which can also be cooling. This can results in high sensory input as

the children feel the difference between the air and pool water. Seizures can

be triggered by this sensory overload. Check this out with your doctor.

Hi, Kim -
