Guest guest
hi susan! welcome! i switched insurance companies this past jan. 1, so that they would cover the ds. it was worth it to me. i am approved for out of network with in network coverage. i live in st. louis and am traveling to ocean springs ms to have surgery. i personally would try my absolute best to have the ds above all the other kinds of wls. otherwise, i think only if my health deteriorated to a more serious degree, i would consider rny, as a last act of desperation. but since some that have had the rny are now getting that revised to the ds, i can't in good conscience recommend anything else but the ds first and foremost as MY #1 choice of wls. but only YOU can decide what is the best for YOURSELF. do the research, look at the facts, check out the quality of life after, and make an educated decision. good luck! mary y st. louis itchin to be switchin > here, and just starting out!
