hi susan! welcome!

i switched insurance companies this past jan. 1, so that they would

cover the ds. it was worth it to me. i am approved for out of

network with in network coverage. i live in st. louis and am

traveling to ocean springs ms to have surgery.

i personally would try my absolute best to have the ds above all the

other kinds of wls. otherwise, i think only if my health

deteriorated to a more serious degree, i would consider rny, as a

last act of desperation. but since some that have had the rny are

now getting that revised to the ds, i can't in good conscience

recommend anything else but the ds first and foremost as MY #1 choice

of wls.

but only YOU can decide what is the best for YOURSELF. do the

research, look at the facts, check out the quality of life after, and

make an educated decision.

good luck!

Thank you so much for your replies, and all the support... advice,

and kind words that you have either posted here, or in your private e-

mails to me! I appreciate each one of them, and each one of you!!

There were too many posts to reply to each individually (altho i did

try).. but if I did fail to miss you, this I hope this will in some

small way suffice for my mistake! :)

Thank you all once again! I would love to hear more of your stories,

and continued advice!! THANK YOU!!
