Guest guest
Hi Rita: Sorry to hear about your dizziness. I have not had it myself but when I went to see Dr Trentham he asked me about dizziness. He said that some people have that problem with RP. I don't have any idea why but I do know that it is a symptom that is associated with RP. Problem is that everyone is different and so each of us needs to be evaluated individually. I remember that a man in NY who was in our group had the dizziness and also had constant ringing in his ears. He was told that it was caused by inter ear cartilage swelling. Hope you find relief. Guest guest
Rita, I have a problem with dizziness at times. I went through about a 2 week period in June that it was so bad it was dangerous for me to drive. My problem was inflammation in the arteries behind my ear. They could not treat it because I was not having the " room spinning " type of dizziness. You should be getting messages from people who have had the same type of dizziness you have because when I brought it up there were several who responded. Good Luck! Guest guest
Dear Rita, no I used to have vertigo really bad, was treated for panic disorder. I would go to the emergency room and insist on seeing an ENT., or have your regular doctor send you to one as soon as possible. Good Luck...Sue

Guest guest
I've had some pretty extreme dizziness over the past couple of days. So bad that when I'm walking things start blacking out just a little bit. Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm not anemic, my blood pressure is fine, etc. The only thing I've done differently this week from previous weeks as I returned to the gym (after a 2-week hiatus due to a knee injury). Thoughts? Tina Dr. Baggs 5/24/05 Orientation: 330 Today: 233 That's 97 big ones gone for good!

Guest guest
Hmmmm...didn't think of that. I did add 24 ounces of water to my day (drinking it while I'm working out) on top of my already 64 ounces. I've gotten really bad headaches too the past couple of days. I'll have to up my water tomorrow and see if that makes a difference. Thanks Colleen! Guest guest
Tina, I had that same thing going on with me my Dr. insisted that I try to increase my calories and wolla it got much much better maybe try that. Remember the exercise burns calories too and we aren't getting that many in to begin with so try to increase them and see if that helps. Guest guest
Tina you are overdoing it. Even though you feel ready to go back to excercise again, your body is telling you you aren't ready yet. The SAME thing happened to me and Dr Baggs said to not push myself and limit excercise to three times a week with weights and 2 days cardio for now. I walk every night still though since it is so nice out now in the evenings. But that is a pretty slow pace so I don't consider it part of my excercise program. Good luck and keep up the good work! Guest guest
Hi Tina, Your medications may need to be readjusted. I take Prozac and it makes you dizzy but you may need the dosages lowered, because of the weight loss. just a thought. Big Hugs Caryl I'm 14 weeks out. I switched from doing water aerobics 4-5 times a week to doing the exercise bike for 45 minutes plus weight training 3 times a week. Dizziness is my only ailment. I feel great other than that. I'm not tired...I have a ton of energy. I really don't think that I'm overdoing it. I tried drinking Propel during my workout today instead of just plain tap water, thinking maybe that the added vitamins/minerals would help. Still dizzy! If it persists, I'll call Dr. Baggs and check in.Tina--- In gastric-bypass-support-kaiser- Caryl DeHerrerawww.Fantasyinart.net

Guest guest
I am medication free! Still dizzy today but not near as bad as yesterday. I guess I'll just play the waiting game and see what happens (for now). Tina > > > Hi Tina, > Your medications may need to be readjusted.
